how to make a half windsor

The Half Windsor Knot is a very classy knot that is commonly used for the day to day white collar man. It works well with wider neckties over their skinner counterparts. When you stand in front of a mirror follow these steps:

    • Begin with the widest end of the tie on the right side, hanging about 12 inches past the narrow end on the left.
    • Cross the wide end over the narrow so that it is on top.
    • Now bring the wide end around and behind the narrow, flip it up and pull the wide end through the loop and to the right.
    • Take the wide end and bring it around the front, over the narrow from right to left and pull it up and through the loop behind the knot.
    • Then, pull the wide end down through the loop in front.
    • Using both hands, tighten the knot and pull it up to the collar.
